Team, when I heard that The Cook Political Report shifted the Virginia governor’s race from “Leans Democrat” to “Toss Up,” I thought for certain we’d have a surge in grassroots donor support.

I mean for days, everyone from the Associated Press to Donald Trump has been claiming that Youngkin has the momentum.

So I was stunned when my team told me our donors weren’t stepping up to the threat.

If I haven’t been direct about this, let me be direct right now: I need you, friend. Democrats NEED to wake up to the threat that Virginia might fall to Republicans.

Glenn Youngkin is using his bottomless bank account to flood the airwaves in the final weeks of the campaign. If we don’t have the resources to compete, Democrats may lose 2021’s most important race.

So, what do you say? Will you step up and split a contribution between my campaign and John King right away? We’re in a make-or-break moment, and I need your support now more than ever:
