Friends — Two months ago, I met with Vice President Kamala Harris to share what citizenship would mean for my family and me as a DACA recipient with undocumented family members. I implored her to use her power to deliver an expansive and inclusive pathway to citizenship before it’s too late.
Before I explain what else I told VP Harris, will you rush a donation of $10 or more to help United We Dream Action keep the pressure on our Democratic leaders to deliver? We’ll need your help to keep up the fight for families like mine.

Even as a DACA recipient, stability has rarely, if ever, been something I've known — because stability for me cannot be possible without stability for my entire family who remain undocumented.
In the wake of Judge Hanen’s decision to close DACA for new applicants, it became clear that even if it were to be reinstated, DACA is not enough. It continues to exclude people like my parents, leaving them vulnerable to the threat of deportation.
So when I got the chance to meet with Vice President Harris, I carried with me my vision for what a safe, stable life for my family — and millions more just like ours — can look like.
Democrats have the final say this year, and VP Harris has the power to deliver citizenship for my family and millions of others.
But with the Senate parliamentarian doubling down on the possibility of citizenship being slammed shut for our communities, I called on VP Harris to push Democrats forward as the Senate’s presiding officer and help pass citizenship for millions through the President’s reconciliation package.
The lives and livelihoods of millions of undocumented people, including myself and my parents, are on the line if citizenship is excluded from a reconciliation bill. We need citizenship this year, and that’s why we fight. Chip in to help us keep up the pressure until our demands are met.

DACA is not enough. Citizenship for just immigrant youth is not enough. To truly deliver on her promise to me to protect immigrant communities and fight for my family, Vice President Harris and Democrats must secure a pathway to citizenship by any means necessary.
Thank you for supporting me and families like mine in the fight for our future,
Susie, United We Dream Action
