Friend,

Early yesterday, the third special session of the Texas legislature came to an end. Let’s tally up what Governor Greg Abbott and GOP legislators prioritized in 2021:

✅ Forced through one of the nation’s most extreme voter suppression bills
✅ Passed a six-week abortion ban, effectively stripping reproductive health care from millions of women
✅ Approved a hyper-partisan redistricting map that dilutes the votes of Black, Hispanic, and Asian Texans and entrenches GOP power
❌ Fixed the power grid failures that led to February’s deadly state of emergency
❌ Addressed the state’s emerging affordable housing crisis
❌ Protected students and teachers from the spread of COVID-19 in public schools

This is the track record of a government that serves itself, not its people, friend — and it’s completely unacceptable. Now that the third special session is finally over, it’s time for us to focus on what’s next: mobilizing millions of unregistered or inactive voters, so we can fundamentally change the politics in Texas.

Please rush a donation of $10 or any amount you can to Ground Game Texas. We’re launching local campaigns across the state to mobilize a massive new wave of progressive turnout — and restore power to the people, NOT anti-democratic elected officials. [[link removed]]

We deserve a state where our elected leaders fight for us, not against us. Thank you for investing today in our fight to create long-lasting change in Texas, friend.
