13 Days Until Election Day! (Tuesday, November 2)

Dear readers! We are 13 days from the 2021 Election! That is LESS THAN 2 WEEKS!

You should have received your ballot by now. If you haven't received your ballot yet, click here to find and reach out to your county clerk and check to see if your voter registration information is up to date!

There are a lot of candidates to vote for! And they're running for local offices that may impact you more than Congress, the U.S. Senate, or even the Presidency! It's your local city council offices, Mayoral offices, and School Board offices!

Republicans would love nothing more than to rebuild their bench by electing unqualified, right-wing activists to these offices, and we need to turn out!

So click here to make sure your voter registration is up to date, keep an eye out for your ballot, and VOTE!

What's at Stake in 2021

There's a lot of candidates and a lot of ballot measures to vote on this November! Here's some guidance!

Are you keeping an eye on ballot measures? Here's our guide on the three statewide ballot measures that Colorado will be voting on this year.

Have a buddy who doesn't know why voting for who represents your community on your school board is important? Check out this awesome video from the rockstar team at Rox Productions so they can do their homework and vote!

Local Candidates Corner!

Like the late, great Democratic speaker of the house Tip O'Neill famously said, "All Politics is Local". We couldn't agree more -- down ballot races are often where the most local and impactful offices are elected, and we want *you* to be aware of which Democrats are running for your local races! To help us help elect Democrats to every local seat possible, click here to get your very own Vote Local swag!

All proceeds go towards our efforts to elect Democrats up AND down the ticket!

The Expanded Child Tax Credit is a Tax Cut for

Middle and Low-Income Families

Republicans have been attacking the expanded Child Tax Credit. In their attacks and critiques, they dub it as "welfare" and argue that we can't afford it. But a few things...

  • The expanded Child Tax Credit is a tax cut for middle and low-income families. The way it is designed allows eligible families to receive those tax dollars back in the same way one would receive a tax refund -- just credited back to your account monthly.
  • Republicans had no such objections when they passed a $2 trillion tax giveaway to the ultra wealthy and largest corporations. All of a sudden though, when it's a tax cut for working families, it's "welfare".
  • This shows more than ever that Democrats are the party fighting for working people, while Republicans are the party of the wealthy and big business.

What are the Impacts of the Expanded CTC?

  • Average Tax Cut of $428 for Colorado Families
  • Cut Child Poverty Nearly in Half
  • Reduce Poverty by 52% for Black Children
  • Reduce Poverty by 45% for Hispanic Children
  • Reduce Poverty by 62% for Indigenous Children
  • Nearly 94% of Parents Plan to Keep Working or Work More
  • Infuses $255 Million into the Colorado Economy every Month
  • A Single Monthly Payment Reduced Financial Anxiety for 56% of Families
  • More than Half of Parents said the payments were a "Huge Deal"

Click here to read more about how the expanded Child Tax Credit works and how it is a tax cut for eligible families!

And remember...
