Like many families, we had to rethink all of our family gatherings last year. And Thanksgiving was a big one for us. It normally involves tons of cousins, begging dogs, and at least one debate on whether apple or pumpkin pie is better.

I don’t know how the next few months will unfold. What I do know is that with YOUR help, this upcoming holiday season can be a joyous one for local families who are struggling right now.

YOU can provide a Thanksgiving meal basket with all the trimmings for a family through Operation Turkey.

A monetary contribution
Your cash gift makes the biggest impact — a gift of $50 provides a family of four with all the fixings for a Thanksgiving meal.

Nonperishable food items
Your donated food items will help fill Thanksgiving baskets distributed to families in need. See suggested food items and drop-off info.

Gift cards in denominations of $25
Your Target, Walmart or local grocery store gift cards will give families the flexibility to purchase food for their favorite holiday dishes.

However you and your family celebrate the season, let’s join together and make this a festive holiday for every family in our community.
