Hey friend -- it's Alexa from Team Nydia. I wanted to reach out about one of the key issues we’re fighting for right now: fully funding NYCHA and public housing across the country.
Nydia knows that safe, affordable, and livable housing is a human right -- and she has worked tirelessly to make it a reality for every American. That’s why she and Senator Schumer advocated to double the proposed investment in NYCHA last spring, and it’s why she’s fighting so hard to ensure it is included in the final Build Back Better plan.
She’s been on the ground, advocating for NYCHA tenants for decades and has emerged as a lead voice on this crucial issue -- but she can’t do it alone. Can Nydia count on your support in the fight for public housing? [[link removed]]
Yes, count me in! [[link removed]]
When we toured Red Hook Houses in the spring, residents told us about needing an umbrella in their apartments and living with a plumbing stoppage for over a month. It’s unacceptable -- but NYCHA doesn’t have the proper resources to address it, which is why this fight is so important.
We can’t compromise on living standards. Every American deserves the right to affordable, livable housing, and while investing in public housing is not enough to solve the crisis, it is an essential step.
Nydia is doing her part to make it possible. Will you do yours, friend? [[link removed]]
Thank you, truly. We wouldn’t be able to do it without you.
Alexa
