Last week, we submitted our third-quarter fundraising report to the Federal Election Commission and showed just how serious we are about sending Kara to Congress.
Thanks to the generosity of hundreds of grassroots donors, Team Hahn hit our goal, outraised the rest of the field, and further set this district up for a red to blue flip. Folks chipped in a little of their hard-earned money to show the nation that they're fighting for progress alongside Kara Hahn, and their impact is already felt.
John, according to our records, you haven't chipped in yet -- and that's okay! But if Kara is going to finally flip this seat and win health care reform and bold climate action for families nationwide, she needs your help too.
One more thing we learned at the end of the third quarter? The NRCC raised over $105 million -- maintaining their fundraising advantage over House Democrats.
Why that matters: Lee Zeldin has left this seat wide open, which makes New York's 1st District one of the very best opportunities for Democrats to hold onto control of the House. OR it's a chance for extreme Republicans to hold onto this seat and weaken our majority… the stakes are high.
With the GOP's gigantic war chest looming, we need to prepare to be outspent by the opposition.
We can expect smear campaigns against Kara and half-truths about her record -- tactics designed to divide and mislead voters. The best way to combat these attacks is to get our message out early and wide, but we need your help to have the resources to do that.
