Friend,

Below, you’ll find my message from last week about how Tucker Carlson has been promoting white replacement theory -- the racist idea that Democrats are engaged in a conspiracy to disenfranchise white voters -- on his show.

And though it can be hard to keep track of all the repulsive, backwards things that Tucker Carlson says on a nightly basis, he recently went on yet another repulsive tirade, this time targeting Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg for taking paternity leave.

For a party that once pretended to represent so-called “family values,” Republicans are now screaming the quiet part out loud: They truly couldn’t care less about the health and safety of our children.

This attack is lazy, homophobic, and just plain dumb -- a real Tucker Carlson special. Will you stand with me today in denouncing his cruel stupidity? <[link removed]>

Friend,

As some of you may remember, Tucker Carlson took to the small screen last April to mock a tweet of mine condemning white replacement theory -- or the idea that, in Tucker Carlson’s words, “Democrats are using mass immigration to transform the country, to change who votes, so they can control who wins.”

Until recently, the only people who espoused this racist nonsense were white supremacists. Now, they’re prominent Republican elected officials and pundits.

Tucker Carlson, Rep. Matt Gaetz, and Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick have all bought into the idea that Democrats are “importing new voters,” and they’re trying their hardest to make this radical, fringe conspiracy theory go mainstream. Will you rush in a contribution so we can fight off radical Republicans’ attempts to divide our country with their racist views? <[link removed]>

It’s no coincidence that Tucker Carlson and Matt Gaetz are fully embracing white supremacist ideologies on the eve of a competitive election year. It’s easier to blame immigrants, people of color, Democrats -- basically, anyone but themselves -- for the GOP’s defeat in 2020.

And, since the GOP seems doomed to repeat those same mistakes again in 2022, it’s up to us to make them pay. Chip in today, and let's stand united against their divisive, racist fear-mongering. <[link removed]>

Best,

Ted
