Want to take action to help reduce homelessness in El Dorado County?
The Western Slope Coalition on Affordable Housing and Homelessness & the El Dorado County Mobilehome Owners Coalition are conducting a space rent survey of local mobile home park residents.
Additional volunteers are needed to finish this rent survey. This is a short-term project that needs to get completed ASAP. It will only take a few hours of your time and involves working with other volunteers to make phone calls and/or visit local EDC mobile home parks.
The Nomadic Shelter Team needs volunteers to help staff the emergency winter shelter for homeless people in our community. Please consider helping these local churches and volunteers who are providing this emergency winter shelter, food and social support.
Volunteers are especially needed at Discovery Hills Church, Shingle Springs, on Thursday night. Training for all new volunteers is provided by experienced hosts. Volunteer jobs needed are:

Evening hosts 6:30 - 10pm
2nd shift night hosts 2 - 6AM

Join the CAT-EDC Canvass Team...take action.. it's easy and fun.
The California Away Team and the El Dorado County Democrats have a voter reactivation model that can raise voting rates by 7-10% as measured by our success in the 2018 midterms. It doesn't take millions of dollars, it doesn't take long conversations, it just takes canvassers asking individuals to sign a pledge to vote.
We're out in the community talking with and motivating Democrats and independent voters to participate in our democracy and turn this ship around!
Will you join us?.....RSVP below for a canvassing event:
El Dorado Hills: Sunday November 3rd, 2019, 10am and 1pm shifts: RSVP here!
Cameron Park: Sunday December 8th, 2019, 10am and 1pm shifts: RSVP here!
New to canvassing? We make it so easy! Check out this video to see what it's really like to canvas with California Away/EDC Democrats Team.
I can't canvas, but I'd love to donate. *Remember - any amount helps - really!*
