The Corruption Files: Part 1
"What a relief!" - West Haven Takes Care of City Hall First w/Fed Funds
WEST HAVEN - West Haven's State Representative and town hall admin, Michael DiMassa, was arrested today in connection with the FBI investigation into the misuse of the federal Covid-19 relief funds.
"I can't say that this is taking anyone by surprise," said Connecticut Republican Party Chairman Ben Proto. "A misuse of public money over assumes the officials' importance and under assumes the intelligence of the citizens. Nancy Rossi's lean toward cronyism landed her a staff full of people who sought to take advantage of the pandemic. Padding overtime and compensation in lieu of getting a leg up on underfunded capital projects and public support programs is a disgusting abuse of power."
Proto continued, "The games that Rossi is playing to call for her own audit on the heels of a federal investigation is just another example of her disrespect for the people she serves. We are asking, 'What did you know, and when did you know it?' It's time for West Haven to stand up and demand the honesty, leadership, accountability they deserve. Barry Cohen and his team will bring responsible governing back to City Hall. To West Haven Voters: Vote GOP to sweep City Hall clean in West Haven this November 2nd!"
