Despite the overwhelming popularity of the voting rights and anti-corruption provisions in the bill, Republicans have made it clear that they will continue to filibuster.

The voter suppression bills that have passed across the country are part of a coordinated effort by extreme Republican donors to go around democracy to lock in their power long term.

I can’t think of anything more unAmerican than shutting voters out of the political process and silencing our ability to influence our own future.

No matter what side of the aisle you’re on, we should all agree that voting should not be a partisan issue and that democracy is a good thing.
