Yesterday, the deadline passed for the Biden administration to appeal a court’s decision ordering further environmental review for ConocoPhillips’ destructive Western Arctic drilling project.

Today’s victory is cause for celebration — but it’s far from the end of the road. The Department of the Interior will now conduct a more thorough environmental review, which means there will be additional public comment periods.
