When every person has a voice and a vote, our Democracy is stronger.

All across the US, Republican-controlled legislatures have passed bills restricting our constitutional right to vote, and their laws are disproportionately affecting people of color. And now, with redistricting upon us, state legislatures are drawing districts that dim some of the most important voices that must be heard.

How do we stop these attacks on our Democracy? The Freedom to Vote Act.

This crucial legislation will help strengthen our democracy by protecting the right to vote for all Americans, fighting the overwhelming presence of dark money in elections, and putting an end to partisan gerrymandering. When the For the People Act was introduced to bring meaningful protections for all voters, every single Republican voted NO. Why? Because Republicans know when we all vote, they can’t win.

The pandemic showed us just how easy and accessible voting should be, but extremist lawmakers are doing everything they can to curb voting rights and it’s on our leaders to put a stop to it.

We need vote-by-mail, early voting, and equal access to the ballot box, and the Freedom to Vote Act will do all that and more.
