John,

Access to safe, legal abortion has been guaranteed to the American people since the 1973 landmark Supreme Court case Roe v. Wade. But ever since, the right to reproductive choice has been attacked, both in Congress and at the state level.

If you’re like me, you were disgusted with news of Texas establishing a six-week abortion ban, encouraging people to sue health care professionals and anyone else who aids a person in getting an abortion past six weeks. Folks, most people don’t even know they’re pregnant at six weeks!

The same kind of repugnant bill was proposed here in Pennsylvania’s state legislature by the GOP majority, and if passed, it would similarly ban abortions around the six-week mark.

The best way to stop these nationwide attacks on a person’s right to choose is by codifying Roe v. Wade and making it law.

Well, Democrats in the U.S. House tried doing that last month, and our Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick joined radical Republicans in voting against it, opening the door for more attacks on reproductive freedom and women’s health.

Look, it’s 2021 and a majority of Americans and Pennsylvanians support access to safe, legal abortion. This just goes to show how out of touch Fitzpatrick is with the people in Bucks and Montgomery Counties, and why we need to replace him next November.

Join me in standing up for reproductive choice: Add your name to support the Women’s Health Protection Act, and tell Fitzpatrick and his party to keep their hands off our bodies!

If elected to Congress next year, I promise to always stand up for reproductive freedom. Abortion is health care, and the decision to get one should be between a patient and their doctor: not politicians like Brian Fitzpatrick.
