Team,

Social Security is essential for nearly 37,000 Granite Staters -- and millions of Americans -- who rely on retirement, disability, and survivor benefits for financial support. But it wasn't always this way.

This year marks the 86th anniversary of the Social Security Act which solidified a financial safety net for American workers. But today Republicans are still trying to gut Social Security. While he was president, Trump even tried to make cuts to the payroll tax that funds Social Security.

Social Security is a promise made to generations of Americans that when we pay into the system with hard work we'll have financial support down the line. It's up to us to keep that promise.

We have a responsibility to preserve and expand the safety net that the Social Security Act created. That's why Chris is committed to protecting and strengthening Social Security in Congress.

Add your name if you're with Chris in this fight to protect the Social Security benefits you earned.
