Never Is Now kicks off Sunday November 7 at 7:30pm ET / 4:30pm PT with host Juju Chang, whose Korean and Jewish identity inspired her to be an early voice in calling for the Jewish and Asian communities to become allies against the forces of hate in the United States.
Taking that important issue forward will be a wide-ranging conversation between Daniel Dae Kim and ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt about the disturbing rise in AAPI hate and antisemitism we’ve seen over the past year, and how celebrities have opportunities to leverage their huge platforms to fight hate. Daniel, a popular actor known for his work on Hawaii 5-0, Lost and many other shows, films and plays, has testified in front of Congress twice championing the Covid-19 Hate Crimes Act and is a founding board member of The Asian American Foundation. Jonathan is proud to be on the board of this long-needed organization.
You will be inspired by ADL’s Courage Against Hate Award honoree, Jean-Paul Agon, Chairman of the L’Oréal Group. Agon and L'Oréal have shown a deep commitment to advancing diversity, equity and inclusion within the company and to respecting human rights and combating hatred in society, particularly to combating antisemitism and promoting Holocaust education.
