Friend,

Tomorrow, the Senate is set to vote on the Freedom to Vote Act.

This long-awaited democracy reform bill -- written by Minnseota's very own Sen. Amy Klobuchar -- would strengthen our election systems, prevent partisan interference, and make it easier for Americans on the left, right, and center to be heard in our democracy. You can bet I'll support it in the House.

But first, it needs to pass the Senate -- and I need your help to keep the conversation going about the importance of this bill.

Tell me: Which features of the Freedom to Vote Act are most important to you? Take my quick survey to let me know.

I'll be frank: If we want to live in a robust democracy that reflects the will of the people, we need to pass this bill. Republicans buying into Trump's Big Lie have spent the better part of 2021 scaling back voting rights and setting the stage for partisan interference in future elections. It's chilling -- but it's not too late to right the ship.

With broad Senate support, the Freedom to Vote Act can defuse the state-level attacks on voting rights and election administration we've seen this year. And it will shine a light on dark money and other tools like gerrymandering that have skewed our political system for far too long.

I'm eager to see how the Senate votes tomorrow. In the meantime, I hope you'll take my short, one-question survey to keep the conversation going about the Freedom to Vote Act.

Thank you,

Dean
