VAYD Campaign Update
[Message from VAYD President, Maureen Coffey, dated 10/15/21]
Hello hello!
We have less than two weeks left! There is finally light at the end of the tunnel (or darkness. Lots and lots of darkness if we lose).
- If you need help getting connected to campaign events near you, please reach out to me ASAP.
- Our remaining VAYD event schedule is listed below. If you could even just forward it along to your chapters, that would help immensely.
- Please continue to report #s through this google form. ALL activity related to ANY campaign counts.
- Do you have an internship/fellowship on a campaign? Report that! Is your chapter doing local/on campus events? Report that! Voter registration? Report that!
- It does NOT have to be connected to VAYD, or even your YD chapter, to count. If you aren't sure about something, report it on the form and we'll reach out if we have any questions.
- I have seen SO many chapters on social media, etc., who have been campaigning but we don't have any numbers reported. I am BEGGING you to report.
- As we approach the end here, please reach out to me for any support you/your chapter might need. My cell # is (703) 403-2359. My preference for urgent communication is text message - please don't call without texting first to let me know what's going on.

Founded in 2010, Emerge Virginia is the premier political leadership training organization for Democratic women in Virginia. Our mission is to recruit, train and inspire Democratic women to pursue public office at the local, state and national levels through our 6-month campaign training program. Emerge Virginia’s work is sorely needed. Emerge Virginia levels the playing field by recruiting and training Democratic women who want to run for office, but who may feel they lack the necessary knowledge or connections to mount a successful campaign.
While women comprise more than 50% of the electorate, they still hold just 29% of elected offices in this country.
Emerge Virginia is an affiliate of Emerge, a national organization currently working in 27 states: Arizona, Alabama, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Georgia, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin.

Free and Unbranded Virgina GOTV Content & More!
Dear Virginia allies,
This is Kiley with the Into Action Lab. Thank you for all you are doing to fight for Virginia. I am writing to put a very useful tool on your radar - two Virginia specific Virginia election content libraries full of free and unbranded GIFs and memes:
Non-partisan content only: https://www.vavotes.art/
Combined library here: act.vavotes.art
There is region/city/county specific content, content for GOTV, and beyond. We will be adding new content DAILY. Feel free to share these pages to your digital teams and along with the invitation to connect with our team who can offer guidance and support on best practices as well as information about our FULL resource library: library.into-action.us.
Did we mention it's all free and unbranded? No, seriously. Add to your toolkits, put them in the hands of your volunteers, they work great in email/whatsapp groups and tweetstorms... or just send one to a friend. Use it wherever and whenever - they are designed for you to use to build momentum for your work and for victory in Virginia.
Please feel free to reach out with any questions and to join our INTO ACTION LAB Partner Slack (featuring 500+ allied orgs and activists) where we share rapid response content DAILY, support with navigating the library, answer any questions and take requests for new content there.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me at [email protected] or Yosi Sergant at [email protected].
