I'm Colton, the Senior Graphic Designer at Stand Up America.

As a native Virginian, I've watched our state legislative races come down to the flip of a coin. And I've also watched a slew of diverse and inspiring first-time candidates take office. That's why this year's election on November 5th is so close to my heart, and why I'm asking for your help to get voters to the polls.

How can you help get out the vote in Virginia?

Regardless of where you live, in just 15 minutes, you can use a simple online tool to write letters to 5 Virginia voters in key districts encouraging them to vote. Your letters will go to underrepresented voters who may not make it to the polls without your encouragement.

Letter writing can have a huge impact. Studies show that voters who receive a letter in the mail are much more likely to vote.

This election is a chance to win the progressive change that Virginians want, like better wages for teachers, more affordable health care, and stronger gun laws. It will also decide who gets to redraw Virginia's electoral maps in 2021, which will impact federal and state elections for the next decade. If we want to continue to affect progressive change, voting in this election is the way to do it.
