The water crisis in Flint was an initial wake-up call. Then, after a report was published last year showing Michigan having the highest number of PFAS contamination sites in the nation, Haley knew she had to take action immediately.

The PFAS Action Act Haley supported was a package of bills that would monitor and regulate water pollution to eliminate the exposure of dangerous chemicals, and prevent future harm towards people and the environment.

While the fight against climate change has a long road ahead, taking action now is the only way to prevent greater catastrophes from happening in the future.
