She's right — Republicans are taking larger measures to limit voters’ rights. But with the Freedom to Vote Act up for vote in the Senate today, Democrats have a real chance to protect the ballot box.

If the Freedom to Vote Act passes, Americans' voting rights will be strongly protected from the GOP’s disenfranchising practices. Establishing election day as a federal holiday, prohibiting partisan gerrymandering, and requiring automatic voter registration, the bill is an actionable step towards empowering voters.
