Many celebrities use their power and privilege to shed light on and help advance important progressive causes. However, few have done it with the tenacity and boldness of People For board member Alyssa Milano.
By channeling her influence, Alyssa has helped bring attention to HIV/AIDS, world poverty, the #MeToo movement, gun violence, reproductive freedoms, the right to vote, countless progressive candidates, and so much more. Having fought for decades to advance these issues, Alyssa’s efforts have helped strengthen our democracy and furthered our collective vision for a better, more inclusive America.
That is why I’m proud to join Alyssa Milano today, October 20 at 6:30 PM ET for a live conversation about her activism and how she has used her position and influence to shape the national discussion on so many of the issues we care about.
Alyssa and I led a voting rights civil disobedience action at the White House yesterday where we were both arrested, so we’ll have a fresh perspective on what it’s going to take to advance progressive issues in today’s political climate.
