Hi John,

The COP26 climate summit in Glasgow is just over two weeks away and we need to make sure everyone knows about the global day of action on Saturday 6 November.

The main protest is in Glasgow, but we are also supporting protests in more than 35 other towns and cities around the UK through the COP26 Coalition.

This is the kind of moment where we can go beyond the usual suspects and invite everyone. UN climate talks may never come to the UK again.

Can you take some time today to invite your friends and family to join the protests? Every extra minute you take to help publicise this will make a real difference.

1. Glasgow

The main demonstration is in Glasgow where the world’s media will be based for the summit. If you can possibly make it to Glasgow, and if you have friends who might come to Glasgow, this is the one to join and share.

2. Around the UK

There are at least 35 other protests taking place around the UK. If you do one thing other than sharing the Glasgow protests, make it sharing the full list of what’s happening.

3. Full list of events

If you can invite people to individual local events, that’s even better. Here’s the latest list of protests around the country, and where to share/find out more.

New events are being added regularly to the global map. If your event isn’t listed in this email, get in touch and we’ll add it to our threads.

Together, we can build the biggest possible mobilisation around the country to show politicians and the media how much public support there is for climate justice.

Thank you,
Jonathan Stevenson

PS. If you’re coming to Glasgow for longer we are also organising several workshops at the People’s Summit for Climate Justice from 7-10 November.

PPS. We will also have a Global Justice Now space in Glasgow for supporter and activists from the evening of 4 November to the evening of 6 November, with informal talks, banner making and hot drinks available:

Powerful multinational corporations are continuing to fuel and profit from the climate crisis.

By coming together to challenge them, we can make a difference.

Regular gifts give us the long-term stability to plan effective campaigns, as well as the flexibility to react to key events.
