UPC's Hope Bohanec will be speaking at the upcoming virtual Vegan World 2026 Convergence all about turkeys. With the upcoming holiday season, turkeys should be on our minds as this is the time of year they are bred and slaughtered en masse. Hope will explain the unique situation and suffering of turkeys and what we can do to help these magnificent birds. She will also talk about the concept of ahimsa, a Sanskrit word meaning non-harming. A panel discussion will follow her presentation featuring Zoe Rosenburg, Andres Velardes, Kelly Kerr, Annie A., Giva Solana and special guest musician Michael Prikryl with a new original song “Nice Vegan Christmas”.
