One year ago today, a white nationalist armed with a Colt AR-15 rifle murdered 11 people and injured 6 more at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh.

In the year that has passed since then, we’ve seen hundreds of mass shootings, including many motivated by hate and anti-Semitism.
The Talmud teaches that whoever saves one life saves the world entire.

Today, we recommit ourselves to saving lives. John, we’ve lost too many people in this country to assault weapons. These weapons were never meant for civilian hands. They were designed for the battlefield. And in the hands of someone who knows nothing but hate, they’re a tragedy in waiting.

We’re close to passing a federal assault weapons ban that will save countless lives, but a handful of legislators have yet to sign on. Please, send a message to Congress. We need to ban assault weapons NOW.
