Today is SUDEP Action Day, a day in which we honor the memories of those we’ve lost by bringing the epilepsy community together to raise awareness of SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy) and to educate on SUDEP prevention strategies to reduce the risks to those living with epilepsy.
In support of SUDEP Action Day, we have developed important content to watch, read, and share all week. SUDEP can happen to anyone with epilepsy, and it is tragic that we still hear from parents, caregivers, and loved ones that they were never informed about the possibility of SUDEP and how to minimize the risks. Please encourage your friends and families to engage with this content and to share broadly the programs below to help raise awareness.
You can also follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter for all updates regarding SUDEP Action Day 2021.
It’s #Time2Change what people know about SUDEP so they can reduce the risk to themselves or their loved one living with epilepsy.
