I won’t sugarcoat this, John: After Trump and his cronies refused to admit the election results and incited a violent insurrection at our nation’s Capitol, I knew that they had fundamentally shifted and broken something in our democracy.

Virginia’s gubernatorial race and the 2022 midterm elections will serve as a referendum on whether or not democracy and truth-telling will prevail.

Right now, Virginia’s Governor’s race is too close for comfort -- polls indicate that Democrat Terry McAuliffe and Republican Glenn Youngkin are neck and neck.
