Dear John,

Planned Parenthood supporters claim men don't have a say when it comes to abortion.

Shamefully, many men are quick to agree! But abortion is a men’s issue in the worst way. Abortion was legalized by an all-male Supreme Court; most abortion facilities are owned by men; and most abortion doctors are men.

The biggest winners in abortion are not women, but bad men who profit or escape responsibility due to abortion.

"I'll support you in whatever you choose," they tell their frightened wives and girlfriends upon learning of an unexpected pregnancy.

It sounds empowering...but it's a cop out.

Men haven't been pushed to the sidelines of the abortion debate. They've sprinted there to avoid taking responsibility for their decisions.

Many of those men now regret their role--active or passive--in supporting an abortion decision.

A man approached vigil participants in Concord, California and shared that he convinced his ex-girlfriend to abort their baby.

Vigil participants prayed for him, and he burst into tears.

"He surrendered in prayer, saying he repented," reported Marlene from the Concord leadership team. "He wants to bring his ex-girlfriend to us to help her heal--so they both heal together."

Forest Park, Georgia

Some men support a woman in whatever she decides--as long as she decides to have an abortion.

A young woman told Forest Park vigil participants that she didn't want an abortion...but she was under pressure from her father and her grandmother.

When the expectant mother decided to get a free ultrasound rather than an abortion, her dad flipped out.

"Dad ordered [the sidewalk counselor] to get away from them," reported John, the local vigil leader. "[He] was irate and sped through the parking lot doing 40 miles per hour or more."

Toledo, Ohio

A couple brought their daughter to the abortion facility in Toledo for an abortion.

"The dad said he was against abortion," recalled Peter, the local 40 Days for Life leader. "Nonetheless, he was there to 'support' his daughter."

A prayer warrior named Joan told the family about pregnancy support resources in the community...and they chose life!

"We're keeping the baby!" shouted the baby's grandfather. "Glory to God!"

Who is a God like You, pardoning iniquity and passing over the transgressions of the remnant of His heritage? He does not retain His anger forever, because He delights in mercy. He will again have compassion on us; and will subdue our iniquities.

Micah 7:18-19

Hear our prayer of repentance, Lord, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We praise you for your tender mercies and your compassion that never fails. Lord, it is only by Your grace that we can live lives that are just, and merciful.

May Your Holy Spirit enable us to walk humbly in Your presence and may You be pleased to restore our nation so that a generation not yet born may praise you.
