I’m sure that, like me, you’ve spent the last few days processing the awful news about the murder of Sir David Amess MP. The HOPE not hate team are shocked and devastated by this atrocious act.

In due course, as more information emerges, we will be in a better position to reflect on the motives behind the attack and the safety of our MPs and others in public life. But right now we are thinking of Sir David Amess’ friends and family, and we wish to express our sincere condolences for their loss.
