Trump is used to getting his way by bullying others. Few Republicans have been willing to stand up to him, and fewer still remain now that he’s attempting to purge the party of anyone who isn’t a Trump loyalist. 
 
That’s why it’s so crucial for Democrats to keep the House next year. If Republicans win, they’ll let Trump get away with anything, even his hand in the attack on the Capitol.
