Friend: Voting rights are preservative of all other rights – and right now, we are witnessing a massive and unabashed assault on voting rights unlike anything we've seen since the Jim Crow era. 

A record-breaking number of voters – in Georgia and across the country – raised their voices at the ballot box in the 2020 election. But instead of celebrating this surge in democratic participation, Republican lawmakers responded in retaliation, introducing over 425 bills with provisions that would make it harder to vote in 49 states. 

What we do at this critical moment will shape the course of our nation for years to come. That's why I'm fighting to pass The Freedom to Vote Act which will be put to a vote in the Senate this week. But Mitch McConnell and his GOP allies are prepared to stand in our way.

I'm looking for 20,000 grassroots supporters to sign my new petition before midnight to help overcome the GOP-led assault on our democracy. But with time running out before our midnight deadline, I'm still missing your name. So please, friend, I'm personally asking: Will you sign my urgent petition now to defend voting rights and protect our democracy?

My new voting rights bill will expand voter registration, fight partisan gerrymandering and take critical steps to safeguard our constitutional right to vote. Simply stated, it makes our democracy stronger – which is more essential now than ever.

Your voice is what made history, flipped the Senate blue and sent Georgia's first-ever Black senator to Washington.
