This morning Rep. Jamaal Bowman and Cori Bush went live on CNN to discuss the importance of passing the Build Back Better Act.
As a progressive coalition, we're focused on bottom up economics — centering the grassroots and those who are most vulnerable in our society. And it's clear to thousands of Americans, the Build Back Better Act is a crucial step towards finally addressing the issues that we face.
But our progress has been put on hold as moderate Democratic Senators Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema have positioned themselves against the progressive coalition, the President, and the Build Back Better Agenda. Their goal? To cut major parts of the agenda and remove key policies that could help lift hundreds of thousands away from the poverty line, address the climate crisis, and provide much-needed resources.
To the progressive coalition, a sweeping response to climate change, supporting and protecting our children, and bringing key expansions to Medicare and health care access is just the beginning. And we know that we need to go big on these issues right now before it's too late.
