Help reach our ambitious 24-hour goal to fight abortion bans
You know the situation in Texas: A six-week abortion ban has forced health centers, including Planned Parenthood health centers, to stop providing nearly all abortions in the state. For those who can afford it, traveling out of state is still a possibility. For many others, safe and legal abortion is quite simply out of reach.

This is an urgent crisis, and we need your help to fight against abortion bans in Texas and around the nation. We've set an ambitious goal to raise $50,000 by midnight tomorrow. Chip in now »

While the crisis in Texas has grabbed headlines, abortion restrictions harm patients all across the country.

In some places, patients are forced to travel hundreds of miles and endure long waiting periods before they are allowed to exercise their rights. Patients in other states must contend with aribitrary restrictions on abortion that deepen longstanding inequities to abortion access. And after the Supreme Court allowed Texas's near-total abortion ban to go into effect, states like Florida and Arkansas began working to pass similar laws.

Help Planned Parenthood Action Fund protect and restore access to reproductive health care, including abortion. Make your gift before midnight tomorrow.

The attacks on abortion access are profoundly unjust — and they exacerbate the harms already done by systemic racism and generations of discriminatory health care practices.

Black, Latino, and Indigenous people are more likely to be uninsured, and more likely to face other barriers to care, than white patients. And the costs of child care, travel, and missing work put abortion access out of reach for patients in rural areas or with low incomes — especially when waiting periods pile on additional burdens.

It's not enough to overturn one ban. It's not enough to expand access in one community, or improve conditions in one state. That's why we're fighting to pass the Women's Health Protection Act (WHPA) in Congress right now. With the help of Planned Parenthood Action Fund supporters reaching out to their representatives, WHPA recently passed the House for the first time! Senate passage will be tougher, but we can't give up. We have to make our voices heard now.

We need to knock down barriers to care wherever they exist. We need to protect access for every patient everywhere. We need to come together, each of us doing our part, to protect reproductive health rights for all.

Chip in now with a gift to help reach our $50,000 goal.

Thank you for doing your part.
