Hi folks —

For years, Republicans have suppressed the right to vote by purging voter rolls, promoting discriminatory voter ID laws, and gerrymandering districts in their favor. Because they believe when more Americans participate in our democracy, their chances of winning are worse

Let that sink in. Republicans have latched themselves on to Donald Trump and weaponized his baseless lies of voter fraud over the past 11 months to further their own political gain. And now, 33 laws restricting access to the ballot box have been passed in 19 states.

Trump may no longer be in the White House, but his destructive legacy remains. We must fight with everything we’ve got to stop Republicans from further destroying our democracy.

This week, I will vote in favor of the Freedom to Vote Act in the Senate — legislation protecting our right to vote, ending partisan gerrymandering, and getting dark money out of politics. But Senate Republicans are going to put up a heck of a fight, so I could use your support on this.
