Friend,

I know you’ve probably been receiving a lot of emails about the importance of our upcoming election and everything that’s at stake this November. The fact is, so many of the big steps that we’ve taken to make Virginia a thriving and welcoming state for everyone — from expanding Medicaid to comprehensive voting rights protections — are at risk.

Listen, if we don't elect Democratic leaders again this year, all of Virginia's progress could be reversed. Glenn Youngkin and his fellow right-wing extremists are proudly campaigning on rolling back all of the progress Virginia has made over the past few years under Democratic leadership and majorities.

We have a great slate of candidates on the ballot this year. I believe that my friends Terry McAuliffe, Hala Ayala, and Mark Herring have a good shot of winning their races if folks get out to vote — but even if we do all we can to ensure their victories, they can’t govern alone. If we really want to protect Virginia’s progress, we need a majority in the House of Delegates, too.

I’ll be honest, friend, my friends over at the DPVA are worried about momentum starting to slow down, so they asked me to reach out to strong Democrats like you. Can we count on you to make a contribution today to send a Democratic majority back to Richmond?

We've got to make sure not only that we elect Terry, Hala, and Mark, but that we give them another wave of Democratic Delegates to keep doing this important work.

Thank you for all you do and please, stay safe and healthy.

Tim
