But on the eve of that deadline, Biden went to Capitol Hill to rally progressives against his own bill, backing their plan to tank the bill if a one-party social spending bill did not pass at the same time. Pelosi pulled the vote, and now, more than two months after the Senate passed the infrastructure bill, the job isn’t done. Biden will be in Scranton on Wednesday to make a push for passage of both bills. But the infrastructure bill can get to Biden’s desk as soon as he and Pelosi go back to their original commitment.
