We're only 2,499 messages short of our goal. Can you help us?? ? ? ? HOUSE VOTING THIS WEEK:

The Trump administration wants to open areas of the Grand Canyon and Chaco Canyon to fossil fuel development and mining. This is outrageous -- it would damage these public spaces irreparably and risk the water supply for Indigenous and local communities. Send a message to Congress now to fight back against this attack on our lands. ? SIGN NOW [link removed] ? ? ? ? ? VOTE IMMINENT: Congress can stop Big Polluters from drilling for uranium and oil in some of our most iconic outdoor spaces and help save the water of Indigenous communities and ecosystems. But they must hear from you ? urge your representative to act ? [link removed]

This is an all-in moment, friend ? I just got word that the House will vote as soon as Wednesday on three critical bills to protect our public lands from Big Polluters.

For millennia, Indigenous communities, including the Havasupai, Hualapai, Hopi, and Navajo Nation communities, have lived in and around the Grand Canyon, and Chaco Canyon has been key for the Pueblo people ? as well as their ancestors, the Chacoan people ? for their way of life and cultural heritage.

Yet Trump wants to open the Grand Canyon and Chaco Canyon to Big Polluters who would tear into land that is sacred to these communities and expose their water supply to toxic pollution.

We must support the Indigenous communities leading this fight and stop the Trump administration from selling out the Grand Canyon and Chaco Canyon. We have a short window to act ? the House will be voting THIS week on three bills that will permanently protect areas around the Grand Canyon, Chaco Canyon, and over 400,000 acres of Colorado's wild public lands from extractive development.

This vote is coming up quickly and we still don't know how every member of the House will vote. To pass this bill without any anti-environment riders, we need LCV supporters like you to flood Congressional inboxes. We're only 2,499 messages short of our 10,000 message goal and we only have a few short days left to act. Will you contact your member of Congress now?

We CAN stop extractive development on critical public lands, but only if we push Congress to act. 2,499 messages to the House to reach our goal ? [link removed]

Indigenous communities throughout the region are already dealing with the impacts of existing uranium mining near the Grand Canyon. And Pueblo communities in New Mexico have fought for years to keep extractive drilling and mining out of Chaco Canyon. Allowing more mining and fossil fuel development would result in toxic radiation levels in their water that can lead to lung and bone cancers, as well as destruction for the ecosystems nearby.

Make no mistake: Opening the Grand Canyon and Chaco Canyon to Big Polluters ? just like gutting protections for Bears Ears National Monument, opening the Arctic Refuge to drilling, and ignoring the concerns of Indigenous communities with the Keystone XL pipeline ? is yet another example of the Trump administration's disregard for Indigenous rights and sovereignty.

As Trump and anti-environment Republicans look to turn our majestic public lands into a playground for Big Polluters, Congress must act to preserve hundreds of thousands of acres of our treasured public lands. That includes Congress voting to pass the Colorado Outdoor Recreation Economy Act next week to protect 400,000 acres of public lands.

These bills are moving fast and we have less than a week to make sure that we hold the line and keep anti-environment riders out of these critical bills to protect these special places. In these final days, every person that sends a message to Congress can help. We can't do this without you, friend ? please send a message to your representative today.

Contact Congress to protect the Grand Canyon, Chaco Canyon, and Colorado's public lands for generations to come. GOAL: 2,499 messages by 10/30 ? [link removed]
