Friends,
Tomorrow, the Senate will vote on the Freedom to Vote Act : Our bill to protect voting rights, stop partisan gerrymandering, and fight the corrupting influence of dark money in politics.
Before I explain why this vote is so critical, I have to ask: Can you add your name to become a Citizen Co-Sponsor of the Freedom to Vote Act ? We need to show every single Senator that the American people demand action on this legislation before it’s too late. [[link removed]]
Since Republicans lost the White House and the Senate, they’ve been laser-focused on stacking the deck in their favor ahead of the midterm elections. They understand that the only way they win in 2022 is by casting doubt on the integrity of our elections, suppressing the vote, and gerrymandering congressional districts.
But let’s be clear, John: This isn’t about partisan politics. This bill is about protecting and strengthening our Democracy—and that’s something Democrats and Republicans should be able to get behind.

It’s on Congress to fight back, protect our democracy and dismantle the systems of voter suppression that have silenced too many Americans for far too long.
That’s why it’s so critical that you add your voice and become a Citizen Co-Sponsor today. [[link removed]] We need to come together and demand government accountability, ethics and transparency.
Thank you for standing with us in the fight for democracy,
Kirsten
