The Christian Civic League, an extreme anti-choice, anti-LGBTQ organization in Maine, has endorsed Paul LePage’s candidacy for governor -- and you’ve just got to see how they’re promoting him:

 

While previously in office, Gov. LePage defunded Planned Parenthood, stopped bureaucrats from allowing boys into girls’ private spaces in schools, and took a stand against legalizing assisted suicide. He recently asserted that vaccine mandates have no place in Maine and that parental rights are of the utmost importance.

 

Yes, you read that right. These are reasons they SUPPORT returning LePage to Augusta.

We’ve seen LePage’s divisive, hyper-partisan approach to politics before -- and radical groups like the CCL are already lining up to support him, eager to roll back the clock to those dark days.

Here at MDP, our top priority in 2022 is defeating LePage and reelecting Governor Mills and Dems up and down the ballot. But we need your support to keep up the fight. Will you contribute $5 right away?

There’s no sense in sugarcoating it, John: Republicans like Paul LePage and his extreme backers at the Christian Civic League pose a direct threat to abortion rights in Maine.

Right now, with reproductive rights at risk across the country and all the way up to the Supreme Court, we cannot let our guard down here in Maine and allow conservatives to get their way and pass legislation like we’ve seen in Texas. We need to do everything we possibly can to send Governor Mills and Democrats back to Augusta.
