Friend,
Last week, I joined a coalition of 20 attorneys general to file a complaint against Postmaster General Louis DeJoy's 10-year Postal Service Plan, which includes drastic cuts to critical services that millions of North Carolinians depend on.
DeJoy’s plan proposes cuts that would slow down the speed of our mail while increasing the price. It’s nonsensical, not to mention dangerous for those relying on our post offices for medications, social security checks, paying bills, and more.
I’m taking action to make sure Louis DeJoy does not single-handedly undermine an essential government service without the Postal Commission considering how these changes will impact the people who rely on these services the most.
If you’re willing to stand by my side in these efforts, please take a moment to sign my petition demanding DeJoy stop undermining our postal service. [[link removed]]

This is not the first time I’ve had to stand up to Louis DeJoy. You’ll probably remember his effort to slow down the postal system just ahead of the 2020 election — an election with a record-breaking number of vote-by-mail ballots.
DeJoy is harming one of our country’s most important institutions, as well as North Carolinians around the state who count on their mail arriving quickly, reliably, and affordably.
Thank you for standing with me on this.
— Josh
