After record voter turnout sent Democratic majorities to Washington, Republicans launched an all-out assault on the right to vote in states across the country.

Donald Trump and his allies spread misinformation and lies — falsely claiming that the 2020 election was stolen. More than 400 bills restricting voting rights have been introduced in 49 states — and 19 states have passed voter suppression laws. That’s in 2021 alone.

Republicans are framing these bills as attempts to fight voter fraud, but we know the truth: This is the GOP’s attempt to suppress the vote in order to win future elections, and it’s unacceptable.

That’s why I’m fighting day and night to pass voting rights legislation in the Senate — like the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act and the Freedom to Vote Act. But we’re facing tough opposition from the very same people who are trying to lock people out of the ballot box, so I could use your support on this.
