Team,

After losing the House, the Senate, and the White House in 2020, Republicans are taking aim at voting rights in order to undercut our Democratic Majority.

When the Senate had an opportunity to outlaw voter suppression and stop partisan gerrymandering this summer by passing H.R. 1 — The For the People Act — every single Republican voted NO.

But the fight for voting rights is far from finished: Rep. Cooper and the New Democrat Coalition led the charge to pass the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act through the House last month. This historic legislation would restore the full protections of the 1965 Voting Rights Act, stop voter suppression tactics, and outlaw Jim Crow-era discriminatory voting practices.

Are you with us in the fight to defend our democracy? Sign on now to demand that the Senate PASS the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act and put an end to voter suppression now! [[link removed]]

Inspired by Trump’s Big Lie and voter fraud conspiracies, more than 400 bills aimed at restricting voting access have been introduced in GOP-led legislatures in 2021.

Not only do these bills suppress the vote, but these thinly veiled Jim Crow-era bills make it that much harder for Democrats to win and compete in competitive districts in 2022. We need to take action now to ensure that every single American can make their voices heard in the midterm elections.

The future of our democracy is at stake: Sign on now to demand that the Senate PASS the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act and put an end to voter suppression! [[link removed]]
