Dear reader,

We know you love a good Pittsburgh story! Come celebrate storytelling and local journalism with us.

Please join PublicSource for the “My Story is the Pittsburgh Story,” event on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2019, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Ace Hotel in East Liberty.

It's not a panel. It's not a lecture. Instead, you'll hear from your neighbors who had the courage to share their stories with all of us in essays published on PublicSource.org.

Meet these courageous, talented and all around extraordinary people who are making our community better: Andrea Barber, Zack Block, Rosamaria Cristello, Jamie Kunning and Heather Tomko

The event will take place during NewsMatch, a national matching-gift campaign that drives donations to nonprofit newsrooms (like us!) from Nov. 1 - Dec. 31.

Five dollars of each $25 event ticket will count toward a PublicSource membership and will support our reporting. You'll also enjoy tasty appetizers and one complimentary beer or wine.

So, come on out and meet local writers and advocates working on issues of economic development, equity, immigrant inclusion, mental health and accessibility. If you have any questions, please reply back.

Seating is limited; get your tickets today!

-Chrystal Walsh, PublicSource Development Director

At the storytelling event, PublicSource will have a musical performance by Jamie Kunning. Jamie is a peer specialist and singer-songwriter who wrote for PublicSource about mental health recovery. You can listen to her song Sun Still Shines, by clicking below.

If you'd like to invite friends, please share our Facebook event. The ticket URL is pghstory.eventbrite.com
