Tools of Torture Billboards displayed around Los Angeles
RODEO BILLBOARD CAMPAIGN IN LOS ANGELES
TAKE ACTION FOR THE ANIMALS

John,

LCA billboards are up in Los Angeles in support of the city Ordinance that would ban torture devices at rodeos. The billboards feature a bull roped in the mouth with the text "L.A.: Help Ban Torture Devices at the Rodeo" and aim to raise public awareness about the issue.

The rodeo industry has been heavily lobbying Council Members to vote against the Ordinance, which is why it's important to voice your support today!!  The rodeo animals need your help.  Take action now!

The Ordinance, brought forward by Council Member Bob Blumenfield, would ban the use of the tools used to control animals in rodeos, such as electric prods, shocking devices, and bucking straps, at rodeo events in L.A. Although this is not an outright ban, it is impossible to hold rodeos without the devices that torment animals into performing.

In February 2021, the City Council voted unanimously in favor of the proposed Ordinance and it is now being drafted by the City Attorney's office. However, in order to be passed into law, the official Ordinance posted by the City Attorney will need to be voted on again by L.A. City Council Members. Take action now! There is no excuse for animal abuse.

For the animals,
Mandy
