Hi John,
If you're stressing about whether or not the Senate will pass the Freedom to Vote Act tomorrow, you need to meet today's RFS podcast guest:
Denzel McCambell -- candidate for city clerk in Detroit.
Denzel wants to be the first line of defense against the attacks on our freedom to vote. As the son of a social worker mother and a union auto worker father, Denzel has always understood the importance of civic engagement and why the freedom to vote is so precious.
He spent time after college as an organizer fighting for LGBTQ+ rights, working for a state representative, and then later working for Rep. Rashida Tlaib. Now he wants to use those skills and experiences to increase accessibility to the ballot box and fight back against attacks on our freedom to vote.
Tune in this week to learn how Denzel plans to use his skills to transform civic education in Detroit (key territory for Democrats who want to win Michigan!).
