Recently, a man in Norway went on a rampage and murdered 5 people, with initial reports indicating he used a bow and arrow to perpetrate the attacks. Any act of violence, much less multiple murders of innocent people, is a tragedy demanding respect, deference, and thoughtful response.

Lauren Boebert, of course, did what Lauren Boebert is gonna do:

Boebert’s governing philosophy, if trolling can be a coherent philosophy, is a variation of Barry Goldwater’s infamous—and electorally perilous—utterance: “Extremism in defense of liberty is no vice.” You can do and say anything if you convince yourself, and others, that you are only “defending liberty.”

Lauren Boebert is not fit to represent Coloradans and should not be in government. She represents a dangerous strain of right wing extremism that justifies lawless, treasonous acts in the name of “freedom.”
