John,
We’ve written to you before about calling your senators and telling them to support the Freedom to Vote Act, but this is an all-hands-on-deck moment.
We expect that the Senate is going to vote on the bill tomorrow, but there are already reports that Senate Republicans plan to stop the bill before it’s even brought to the floor for debate.
This is unacceptable. Our democracy is on the line. Can you make two phone calls today to demand that the Senate take action to protect our freedom to vote?
Call your senators NOW at (202) 224-3121 and tell them why YOU support the Freedom to Vote Act!
John,
Yesterday, Senate Majority Leader Schumer announced that there will be a vote on the Freedom to Vote Act NEXT WEEK.
This is huge. Your senators need to hear from you today! This is our once-in-a-generation chance to get big money out of our politics, stop the assault on our ability to vote across the country, and build an inclusive democracy that works for everyone!
Call your senators TODAY at (202) 224-3121 and tell them to support the Freedom to Vote Act!
If you don’t know who your senators are, click here to find out, and then call them at the phone number provided.
Tell your senators:
The Senate must come together and pass the Freedom to Vote Act to protect our elections, ensure voters’ access to the ballot box, and improve our democracy. This is a bill that both parties can, and should, support. We cannot let this critical opportunity pass us by.
This is not a Republican issue or a Democratic issue. It’s an American issue. I urge you to support the Freedom to Vote Act.
The Freedom to Vote Act is our country’s best opportunity to build a democracy that works for all Americans. It would ban partisan gerrymandering, address the flood of undisclosed “dark money” in our elections, make it easier for people to vote early and by absentee ballot, and protect election administrators, workers, and volunteers from partisan interference.
We need to make sure senators hear our voices and know how important it is that they support the Freedom to Vote Act.
Call your senators TODAY at (202) 224-3121 and tell them to support the Freedom to Vote Act!
This is our democracy moment. We’ve fought for this opportunity for years. Next week is a critical step in our campaign to fix our broken political system.
Onward,
Ethan Rome Chief of Communications and Strategic Initiatives, Issue One
