No, neither do we.
25 years of COPs have failed us and we’ve had enough of empty promises. So while Extinction Rebellion rebels will be taking to the streets of Glasgow, we will also be preparing for what comes after COP26.
Our Scottish rebels are leading the way at COP, creating audacious actions and standing in solidarity with communities of resistance across the global majority world.
Will you help them speak truth to power?
We will be supporting rebels at COP26 and across the UK to call out crimes against humanity. Donations will help to:
● Ensure the well-being of arrestees when they are released from police stations
● Support young and low-income people to travel to Glasgow
● Provide warm clothes for rebels and an accessible environment for those with disabilities
● Equip kitchens to provide rebels with hot food and warm drinks
● Set up safe spaces to provide information, support and training, and to hold people’s assemblies
● Create attention-grabbing actions, supported by banners and artwork
And when COP 26 is over, we will be ready.
We will use the momentum from our actions this year to propel us to rebellion in 2022. This means going back into our communities and building our local groups, getting trained and training others, knocking on doors and talking to citizens, holding our own people's assemblies – because power belongs to the people.
