John --

According to a new report from the Center for Responsive Politics, Republican Senator Thom Tillis is “relying on big-money donors and industry political action committees to raise money for his 2020 re-election bid.”

That’s not all:

  • Tillis received more than $2.4 million from corporate PACs;

  • Lobbyists donated more than $400,000 to his campaign;

  • He raked in more than $408,000 from Big Pharma (second only to Mitch McConnell).

John, you get the idea. Tillis is bankrolled by and beholden to a number of shady actors, and the problem is: he votes for their interests instead of North Carolina’s. In fact, he raised only 4 percent from small-dollar donors. That’s not the way we’re running our campaign, where 94% of our donations last quarter were less than $100.

Cal refuses to take a single dime from corporate PACs -- because he’s relying on supporters like you pitching in whatever you can afford. So, here’s where we ask:

Will you add a donation to our campaign for U.S. Senate in North Carolina and help us bring Democrats one step closer to taking back the majority? Anything you can give will go a long way.

If we win this race, we can look back at our work with pride -- knowing we did right by the people, not the corporate special interests that are so keen on electing Republicans like Thom Tillis.

It may not be the easiest way to do things, but it’s the right way.
