Dear John,

As you may know, I have been a long-time advocate for Montana Job Corps centers. That’s why I’ve championed efforts to support them and help ensure Montanans have the tools they need to succeed in the work force.

At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, training at our Job Corps centers was forced to become virtual.

I believe it's crucial that this training is hands-on, so, for over a year, I've been pushing for students to safely return to in-person learning.

Back in September 2020, my push to allow previously enrolled students to safely return to Montana Job Corps centers was successful.

Last week, the U.S. Department of Labor listened to my outstanding request from May 2021 and announced that new students would be allowed to join their peers for in-person learning and training at the centers.

This will help prepare Montana students to fill good-paying, high demand jobs that boost Montana’s economy.

As your voice in the United States Senate, I will continue to advocate for Montana Job Corps and the interests of all Montana students.

Sincerely,

Senator Steve Daines

Do you believe Montana students should be allowed to participate learning in-person?
